For the Lakes Region Board of REALTORS®, he served on the Professional Standards Committee, chaired its Grievance Committee for many years, was President in the 1990s and also served on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS®. In 2018, Don was designated REALTOR® Emeritus for his 40 plus years of service to that organization.

Don has served on many Newfound Area Boards, Town of Bristol Committees & Commissions including NANA, the Newfound Lake Region Association (twice as president), president of the Newfound Region Chamber of Commerce, Town of Bristol Conservation Commission as Chairman, Planning Board also as Chairman and served on the Energy Committee.
